In 1977, Taiwan’s economic development took off and people’s living and consumption standards were rising. Under an opportunity, I visited Japan and discovered that hardware was an indispensable commodity for people’s livelihood. After returning to Taiwan, I wanted to subvert the traditional hardware and hope to bring it to consumers. Comfortable and convenient shopping environment, carefully selected high-quality products and reasonable prices, was established in Taichung in 1989, the first open hardware store in Taiwan [Zhenyu Hardware].
